Maintenance Team Member
Part-Time Seasonal (May-October with the opportunity for continued employment)
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our maintenance team. This role involves hands-on care and upkeep of our clients’ edible gardens, ensuring that the plants thrive throughout the growing season. From executing crop plans to harvesting seasonal crops, you will play an essential role in helping our clients enjoy healthy, productive gardens. Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain edible gardens by performing regular tasks such as weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and pest management.
* Observe soil moisture levels and ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly.
* Keep gardens neat, tidy, and visually appealing through upkeep and maintaining clean, well-organized spaces.
* Monitor garden health and troubleshoot issues related to soil health, pests, or plant diseases.
* Harvest seasonal crops and assist clients with garden-related questions or concerns.
* Apply organic fertilizers and amend soil as needed to support plant growth.
* Provide excellent customer service and be willing to answer client questions.
* Work closely with other team members to ensure gardens are well taken care of.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in garden maintenance or landscaping (preferred but not required).
* Knowledge of edible plants, organic gardening practices, and sustainable landscaping (a plus).
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Reliable, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
